History

In 1958 their father Bishop Singleton was called by God to preach in Los Angeles, California at The Greater Bethlehem Temple Church. He founded and organized two other churches in that state: Bethlehem Temple Church and Bethlehem Temple Church of Harbor City. Since 1972 he’s been the pastor at The Bread House Bethlehem Temple Church located in Lansing, Michigan. Since 1974, he has served as the diocesan bishop for the State of Michigan and was the treasurer of the PCAF (Pentecostal Churches of The Apostolic Faith), and senior bishop on the Board of Bishops. The Bishop has been preaching over 60 years; married to the late Elizabeth Hawkins-Singleton for over 50 years. Through this marriage they are the proud parents of 12 children: Belinda, Ora, Patricia, Alfred Jr., Terrance, Verona, Debra, Andrea, Aaron, Camila, Frank and Catrese. He remarried in 2008 to First Lady Antoinette Singleton, they have 29 grandchildren and 10 great-grand children .

The foundation of the Singleton's music comes from the apostolic teachings and preaching of their father. Their passion for music started around the piano at Thanksgiving dinners and continued through decades. They began singing in church choirs, praise teams and evolving family groups. The Singletons commitment for singing is to uplift the name of Jesus Christ and will share this ministry not only in song, but more through deed.

Biography

Originally composed of three sisters, Camilla, Catrice and Andrea; the group began singing in the 1990s by the name of The Singleton Sisters. They caught the attention of gospel singer Marvin Sapp who was looking for a singing group to sing background on his tour in 2000. While working with Sapp, the Singletons received their first exposure to national Gospel audiences. They were signed by Fred Hamond who worked on their debut CD, Pour Out Your Holy Spirit. The Singletons were the featured artist on his label F. Hammond Music label which sold over 200,000 copies. The CD landed on the Gospel Top 40 and in 2006, the group then released their follow-up CD Better Than That.
