St. Anthony's was founded in 1998 by Tony Cinquepalmi and David Green. The school is run by Tony Cinquepalmi following the departure of David Green, who was arrested and now faces trial for allegedly sexually assaulting a number of minor students, along with a variety of staff including licensed therapists, experienced special education teachers, and behavioral specialists. Tony Cinquepalmi received his Master's degree and therapist's credentials in the 1980s while David received his Special Education certification in the 1970s. In the early 1990s, while Tony was working for New Day of Dallas as a therapist and David was the Director of Education, they developed the model that would eventually become The St. Anthony School. Early on the model was brought to other settings, including hospitals and private schools, until eventually they branched out to establish the Saint Anthony School.
In cooperation with Cross Training Center, Saint Anthony's incorporates martial arts as a motivational tool to teach life skills, instill confidence, foster self-discipline, and develop improved listening skills.
