With an average daily circulation 14,578 copies (last audited November 2007), the newspaper says it reaches around 97 percent of the adult population (per mindmaps March 2013 media survey).

It is 100% owned by The Bermuda Press (Holdings) Ltd. The Bermuda Press (Holdings) Limited is a publicly traded company on the Bermuda Stock Exchange.

Tim Hodgson is Consulting Editor and Jonathan Kent and Dexter Smith are the Deputy Editors.

Content

The sports section devotes extensive coverage to Bermuda's cricket and football (soccer) teams, along with reports of English football and occasional wire stories on American football and baseball. The Saturday religion section has a large number of church advertisements, along with news accounts of church programmes and issues.

Former sister publication

When The Royal Gazette's sister paper, the weekly Mid-Ocean News, ceased publication in October 2009, its full-colour comics section and magazine-style television guide insert became Royal Gazette features.
