The Road to You is the Pat Metheny Group's second live album, released in 1993. It won the Grammy Award for Best Contemporary Jazz Performance.
Contents
The album was recorded live during a European tour in 1991. The songs were taken from the Bari, Pescara; Jesi and Naples, Italy; Marseilles, Paris; and Besançon, France shows, with the exception of the last track, which is a studio recording.
The CD packaging contains lengths for each song, but the times are very inaccurate.
Metheny has remarked on the overwhelmingly enthusiastic reception the Group has received from European audiences,particularly in Italy, as evidenced on the album.
