The Regent School is located in Abuja the federal capital territory of Nigeria.In Euphrates street it was established in the year 2000.it's a co-education school established to cater for children of British expatriate working in the city.

Background

The Regent School is a British style school, the school started with the admission of primary school pupil between the age of 2-11.The management introduced senior school in 2007 to cater for the growth of the school.It is one few pioneer schools in abuja metropolis.The school has 500 pupils in primary and 300 pupils in the secondary school respectively.The secondary school offer a boarding facility with a day option in order to cater for a wider needs of parents. School though based in Nigeria but receive school fees in US dollars

School House System

The house system is a way of facilitating relationship among the pupils and also to enhance their team and leadership spirit. Each house is coordinated by a prefect. The school house system operates on unit bases, the maximum point that can be earned is 25units. Certificates and badges are the rewards for good house behaviours. Houses are named after African rivers. There are four houses in the school namely:

  1. Red House :Zambezi
  2. Blue House :Nile
  3. Yellow House :Limpopo
  4. Green House :Niger

Curriculum

As a British styled school, it offers the follow curriculum:

  1. National Curriculum for England and Wales in year 7 and 8.
  2. CIE Checkpoint in Year 9
  3. CIE IGCSE in Year 10 and 11

The Alumni

The Regent School established The Alumni as a way of continuation of relationship among the pupils that have left the school and those that are still in the school. This concept, is a link between the past and the present students of the school.

Parent Teacher Association

This is a group of volunteer parents who comes together to contribute their money towards the well being of the community. They are parents of the pupils in the school. PTA is an avenue where the parents and the teacher of the school converge to discuss ways of developing the school.
