The Opus is an American instrumental hip hop duo from Chicago, Illinois. It consists of The Isle of Weight and Mr. Echoes, and is best known for the production work on Rubberoom's Architechnology. The duo was described by Allmusic as "two of the most brilliant beatmakers working in hip-hop circa 2003."
