Quite Notable

The Notables are a ska revival band from Seattle, led by Johnny Horn and Matt Nims. They released their debut album Quite Notable in 1997. The album consisted mostly of original tracks, but included several cover versions of tracks by such artists as Jimi Hendrix.

Contents

While the band uses a rotating cast of supporting musicians, the names listed on the album (Clive Williams, Lester Moore, Lonesome Jerome, Winston Sharples, Malcolm McDermott, Snuff Wilson, and Gitsie) are actually pseduonyms invented by Horn and Nims.

The band's rendition of the song Perdido was featured in season two of The Sopranos. Their music also features in the 1999 comedy film The Sex Monster.
