Analysis

The work is by the founder of the expressionist painting in Lithuania, which was established in the second half of 1933, after Antanas Gudaitis returned to Lithuania. Previously, for 4 years, he lived in Paris. The characters and moods reminiscent of musicians and circus performers in Paris, although it does not represent the joy of life of the young couple and concerns and their problems. To make an interesting combination of colors, boldly painted goat in a blue tone, and the cow in red. The picture presents a nurse burdened by the need to work, one of the major problems of society at the time, which is reflected both in art and in literature.
