The NY QuickBooks Group as a model citizen
In the fall of 2007, The NY QuickBooks Group was recognized as a model citizen by the Bayshore Children's Development Fund for its acts of public good. Over the course of three months, the company collected gently used books, office supplies and computer equipment to be donated to numerous after-school programs on Long Island. The employees of The NY QuickBooks Group are also active in the community by providing free after-school tutoring to high school students in math and accounting, as well as career and entrepreneurial guidance.
In September 2008, The NY QuickBooks Group announced the creation of an academic scholarship for high school seniors looking to major in business and related fields in colleges across New York State. The winner of the scholarship will also receive a laptop computer to help in their college career.
