History

The McBride Company was founded in 1979 by Pat McBride. Prior to founding the company, McBride was a member of the American soft rock band New Colony Six from Chicago, Illinois. His work in the music industry led him to create soundscapes and produce music, which eventually led to designing concepts for the destination entertainment industry. McBride originally formed the company with the idea to bring a group of music and video producers, graphic designers, set designers, and architects together to collaborate on designs. Originally called the McBride Group, it relocated to southern Florida where it was rebranded as The McBride Company. The company eventually moved its headquarters to Manchester Center, Vermont, while maintaining an office in Miami, Florida.

The McBride Company's work has included many notable projects such as Dick Clark's American Bandstand Grill and Asian River Life exhibit at the Miami Metrozoo. It helped establish the Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville brand and has designed many restaurants, casinos, hotels and resorts within the chain since 1999.
