The Killa Chronicles is rapper Cam'Ron's sixth major release under Asylum Records/Diplomat Records. It was originally titled Shade of Black and was set for release by December 2006. However, the album has been continuously pushed back for undisclosed reasons. On April 4, 2007, Cam'Ron stated that he will be renaming his sixth studio album "Courtesy Curtis" because of the beef between himself and fellow New York City rapper, 50 Cent. However, due to the inactivity of the feud between the two, Cam'Ron, as of July 26, 2007, has officially announced on his myspace page that the name of his upcoming album is The Killa Chronicles.

The Killa Chronicles and Jim Jones

On July 19, 2007, long-time friend and fellow Dipset member, Jim Jones sat down with MTV News and confirmed there were odds between him and Cam'Ron. Many rumors had been flying around ever since Jim Jones appeared on one of Hot 97's shows with Miss Info back in May 2007. When Cam'Ron was queried about whether Jim Jones would appear on The Killa Chronicles, Cam said that all of the Diplomats would be featured guests on his upcoming album which means Jim Jones will appear on The Killa Chronicles.

As of now, besides the Diplomats being featured guests, the only confirmed featured guest on The Killa Chronicles is fellow Asylum recording artists, Lil' Flip.
