History

The Jackie Boyz were born and raised in Savannah, Georgia where they began their music careers at the pier on River Street performing for the local people in their hometown. Their inspiration and love for music was instilled in them by their mother Jackie, hence the name. The Jackie Boyz was created by the brothers to recognize and carry on the name of their beloved mother. Devastated by the death of their father in 2003, tragedy lurked right around the corner as their mother Jackie died the following year. The loss of their parents influenced and motivated Carlos and Steven to leave Savannah, Georgia and pursue their music careers. The brother duo arrived in LA three years ago and they have been making a name for themselves in the music industry ever since.

Current projects

They have collaborated in the studio with Madonna, Justin Bieber, Chris Brown, Amy Weber, Sean Kingston, Cee-Lo, Jennifer Hudson, Ciara, Diggy Simmons, Charice, Jay Sean, Jennifer Lopez, Big Time Rush, Shontelle, and Mann, among others. They co-wrote the platinum selling single "Eenie Meenie" performed by Justin Bieber and Sean Kingston and Madonna's 2009 single "Revolver".

The song won for Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical. The Boyz were also nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album for Justin Bieber’s My World 2.0. These successes follow their 2009 nomination in the Best Rap Song category for their work on Flo Rida’s “Sugar” featuring Wynter Gordon.
