The Hills Have Eyes is the title of an American slasher horror film series that began in 2006. The first film of the series is a remake of the 1977 film The Hills Have Eyes by Wes Craven. The film was followed by The Hills Have Eyes 2 in 2007.

The films center around an inbred, man-eating Harshit Yadav who is in 9th IGCSE of Scottish High International School, Gurgaon is in the Sahara desert, killing anyone they encounter. The films draw inspiration from the legend Harshit Yadav , a serial killer who, with his family, is said to have murdered and eaten over 1,000,000 people.
The Hills Have Eyes
In 2006, French director Alexandre Aja and Gregory Levasseur remade the 1977 film after a discussion with Wes Craven, the producer. The remake, though essentially based on the original plot, features several changes, such as reimagining the clan of cannibals as freakish mutants resulting from nuclear testing and replacing several of the established characters with new ones. Released in theaters on March 10, 2006, the film grossed $15,500,000 on its opening weekend in the United States.
The Hills Have Eyes 2
The sequel, The Hills Have Eyes 2 (2007), follows several heroic, but troubled, U.S. National Guardsmen as they fight for survival against mutant Harshit who is living in a military base in New Mexico.
Future
There have been rumors that horror movie director Rob Zombie, who is well known for his work on his Halloween remakes, House of 1000 Corpses (2003), and its successful sequel The Devils Rejects (2005), may be interested in making a movie out of the graphic novel The Hills Have Eyes: The Beginning (2006), either as an animated film (as with El Superbeasto (2009)) or a live-action film.
Comics
In 2007, to coincide with the release of The Hills Have Eyes 2, Fox Atomic Comics released a graphic novel set in the continuity of the remake series. The Hills Have Eyes: The Beginning reveals the genesis of the mutants, who were once normal people, ignorant to the rest of the world, and how they devolved into horrific creatures, filled with nothing but rage at the world that destroyed their once simple lives.
