To get to the bottom of a string of bank heists, FBI agent Jeff Crane (Robert Sterling) goes deep undercover in a federal penitentiary. There, he earns the respect of hardened convict Sonny Black (Dan Dailey Jr.) by instigating a riot. After assisting in a daring jailbreak, the lawman is closer than hes ever been to learning the identities of Blacks criminal associates. But Crane gets in over his head when he falls for Blacks beautiful sister, Terry (Donna Reed).
