The Fairy God Foundation is a non-profit organization headquartered in Hyden, Kentucky. The charity was incorporated in 2005 and obtained IRS 501(c)(3) status as a tax exempt organization in March 2006. The Fairy God Foundation is dedicated to assisting disadvantaged students to prepare for their high school proms, primarily by providing free prom dresses. Since its inception, the foundation has been featured in print news stories throughout Southeastern Kentucky as well as covered by WYMT Mountain News in Hazard, Kentucky. The Fairy God Foundation also offers "certificates for free hair, manicures, and pictures."
