The Dead Trees was an American Alternative rock group from Boston composed of Michael Ian Cummings, Todd Dalhoff, Matthew Borg, and Noah Rubin. They released one EP and two full-length albums before splitting up in 2013.

History

The band formed in Boston in 2007, then spent approximately two years in Portland, Oregon before moving to Los Angeles. The band opened for groups including The Whigs, Adam Green, Little Joy, MGMT, and Albert Hammond, Jr. on national and international tours, and also played back-up for Albert Hammond, Jr. and Little Joy.

In 2007, they released an EP titled Fort Music, then signed with Milan Records who produced their King of Rosa LP in 2008. Their 2011 record, Whatwave was an indie recording paid for with a Kickstarter campaign.
