The Commonline Journal is an American webzine publishing accessible poetry, fiction, review, interview, literary and cultural criticism. The magazine was originally developed in 2007 at The Evergreen State College as a DIY literary magazine called "The Commonline Project". Although not definitively affiliated with any particular literary movement, the magazine acquired its reputation by publishing short pieces of dirty realism. In 2008 and 2009 the magazine was based out of the United Kingdom before returning operations to the United States. Contributors to the journal include writers Tony O'Neill, Rebecca Wolff, Lyn Lifshin, Chris Ozog, Pulitzer Prize winner Stephen Dunn, poetry slam champions Anis Mojgani and George Watsky.
