La sanguisuga conduce la danza (The Bloodsucker Leads the Dance) is a 1975 Italian giallo-horror film written and directed by Alfredo Rizzo, and starring Femi Benussi. The French theatrical title was L'insatiable Samantha - la sangsue (The Insatiable Samantha - Bloodsucker). This version includes hardcore inserts not found in any other versions. It was released in Spain as Danza macabra.
It was released years later on video in Italy as Il marchio di Satana (The Mark of Satan), and in the USA on video as The Passion of Evelyn. It is the last film starring Austrian actress Krista Nell.
In Ireland at the turn of the century, Count Marnak invites a troupe of actors to perform at his island castle. He is stunned by how much Evelyn, the lead actress, resembles his dead wife. They begin an affair, but suddenly one by one, the inhabitants of the castle are turning up decapitated. The count fears that an old family curse is responsible for the grisly slayings.

Allmovie wrote, "In the hands of a better filmmaker, it might have been an interesting pastiche, or even played as a clever spoof, but Rizzo appears to have made the whole thing up as he went along", calling it "a fairly ordinary giallo thriller".
