Plot
Cole (Judah Lewis) is madly in love with his babysitter Bee (Samara Weaving). One night, Cole stays up past his bedtime to admire Bee from afar - only to discover she's actually a cold-blooded killer who's in league with the Devil. He now must spend his night evading Bee's band of killers, who will stop at nothing to prevent Cole from exposing their secret. It's up to Cole to survive the night (and blow up a few people along the way).

On November 24, 2014, it was announced that Brian Duffield's horror comedy script The Babysitter was bought by McG's Wonderland Sound and Vision, which McG and Mary Viola would produce the film. The script was later appeared among the top best unproduced scripts list of the 2014 Black List. On September 10, 2015, McG was attached to direct the film for New Line Cinema, while Wonderland would co-finance the film along with Boies / Schiller Film Group.
Principal photography on the film began on October 27, 2015 in Los Angeles.
Release
In December 2016, Netflix acquired the film for release on the platform.
