The AIDS Show is a collaboratively written theater piece about AIDS, and a documentary video about the making of the stage show.

1984 production

The AIDS Show was first produced by Theatre Rhinoceros in September 1984 as The AIDS Show: Artists Involved with Death and Survival in the basement studio. Directed by Leland Moss, it ran and toured in a slightly modified form for most of the next year, and was published in West Coast Plays.

1985 production

A completely new production, titled Unfinished Business: The New AIDS Show and co-directed by Moss and Doug Holsclaw, opened the Main Stage season in September, 1985 and continued on various stages for another year. It was the subject of the 1986 PBS documentary by Rob Epstein and Peter Adair, also titled The AIDS Show: Artists Involved with Death and Survival.
