Cloth :- Thatha or Thathi is a type of cloth used by some Sikhs to fix their beards after spraying them with hair spray like Taft, Fixo, Swift or simply with some water,oil etc. Many orthodox Sikhs prefer to keep an open beard as a sign of their dignity and respect, but some Western-minded and modern Sikhs prefer tying beards for fashion and appearance. This consists of spraying the beard with hair spray or beard spray, then tying it with rubber or beard pin and a thathi is tied after that on the chin to set the beard properly. This process takes 30 minutes to an hour to fix properly.
