Thanthi TV is a 24-hour Tamil news satellite television channel based in Chennai, India. It is owned by Dina Thanthi. After the Jallikattu protests, fearing the opposition of the Church and its cyberactivism, the channel deviated from its previous stance of strong adherence to neutrality and Journalistic objectivity and scaled-up its coverage time to various illiterate and mass-mobilized protesters protesting against several central government departments covering a variety of areas from Hydrocarbon extraction to farmers issues.
