Thamnosophis is a genus of lamprophiid snakes found only on the island of Madagascar. As of 2014, six species were recognized.

    Etymology

    The specific name, martae, is in honor of Marta Puente Molins, who assisted the taxon authors in their fieldwork.

    The specific name, stumpffi, is in honor of Anton Stumpff, who collected the holotype.
