Texoma Medical Center was founded in 1965 in Denison, Texas. The old location closed and the new facility was built around 2009-2010. It is located an hour away from Dallas, and roughly 25–30 minutes from Durant, Oklahoma. Due to its distance to the Texas/Oklahoma border, is why it is called Texoma Medical Center, as it serves parts of North Texas and South Central Oklahoma. Choctaw Casino and Resort is also located roughly 20–25 minutes north of the hospital and features a wide range of amenities. And a new hotel, Hilton Garden Inn was built recently to accommodate families of those in need of the services provided by Texoma Medical Center. The Hotel also provides a comfortable stay for Medical Staff of the Texoma Medical Center Hospital.
