She married Sean Oliver and has a daughter with him. Oliver died in 1990 from sickle cell anemia. She returned to performing with The Slits when the band was reformed in 2006, the year the Revenge of the Slits EP was released by Island Records. In the prior year, 2005, singer Ari Up and Pollitt reformed the band with new members, as Viv Albertine was not interested in rejoining. The new line-up included Paul Cook, formerly of the Sex Pistols, and Marco Pirroni, formerly of Adam and the Ants.
