Personal life
She is the daughter of singer Debby Boone and Gabriel Ferrer.
Career
In 2012, Shonda Rhimes cast Ferrer in a recurring role as Dr. Leah Murphy in Season 9 of the ABC drama series Grey's Anatomy. In June 2013 she was promoted to series regular for season 10; however, in March 2014 (2014-03), it was announced that she would be exiting the show at the end of the season. In 2016 season 13, episode 6, Ferrer returned to her recurring role as Dr. Leah Murphy in Grey's Anatomy.
In 2014, Ferrer had recurring role in the CBS series Extant. In 2015, she had recurring role on the second season of FXX comedy series, You're the Worst.
