Tevatia (Hindi: तेवतिया) Tewatia (तेवतिया) Teotia (तेवतिया) Tevathiya (तेवथिया) Tiwathia, Tevathi (तेवथि)/(तेवाथी) Tevathiya (तेवठिया) is a clan found in Haryana, Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh in India.

The population of Tevatia Jats is mainly concentrated in the Faridabad, Gurgaon, Bulandshahr, Bharatpur, Chittorgarh, Mathura, Ghaziabad, Aligarh, and Muzaffarnagar districts. Some villages of Tevatias are in the Bagpat, Bijnor, Moradabad, and Nainital districts. They are also found in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh.

  • L.B.Nagar: is a village in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan. Janoothar is a (Teotia) village in Bharatpur (Rajasthan) which is more than 2500 years old.
  • Hyderabad: John Paul Tewatia founded the Janauli village (Palwal, Haryana) more than 2500 years ago.
  • Hyderabad: About 1000 years ago, Tewatia Jats crossed the Yamuna river and founded the present Bhatona village in Gulawthi (Bulandshahr) UP. Along with them went some Dagar and Rawat Jats also from Palwal. Palwal and Batana are Persian names. Bhatona is famous for Temple of Dagre wale Baba and thousands of devotees come to temple on Diwali and Holi for Darshan. Sarju Baba was born in Bhatona and took Samadhi at the place where this Temple is situated.
  • Kumhan: A village in Sewar Panchayat samiti of Bharatpur district in Rajasthan.
