State Route 65 (SR 65) is a north–south state highway in Middle Tennessee. The highway runs concurrently with U.S. Route 431 for its entire course as it is a secret, or hidden, designation since US 431 was extended into Tennessee and Kentucky from Alabama in 1953. The SR 65 designation was also hidden to avoid confusion between it and Interstate 65 (I-65) in the general area. It traverses Davidson and Robertson counties in northern Middle Tennessee.

Route description

SR 65 begins at the corner of Trinity Lane (US 431) and Dickerson Road (US 41/US 31W/SR 11) north of downtown Nashville. It crosses I-24/65, and eventually Briley Parkway (SR 155) and Old Hickory Boulevard near Whites Creek. SR 65 continues northward to cross I-24’s Joleton interchange before entering Robertson County.

It once again intersects US 41 (SR 11) at Springfield and also intersects SR 76 and SR 49. US 41/SR 11, however, runs concurrently with US 431/SR 65 throughout Springfield. It then goes further north to the Kentucky state line south of Adairville, Kentucky, where SR 65 ends, but US 431 continues into Logan County.
