Tejas Chavan(born 10 December 1988) is an Indian composer, singer, musician and philanthropist. Described as the creator of Marathi Breathless sung by Bela Shende, Tejas's works are noted for the quality and creativity for western/traditional orchestral arrangements. Among his awards are Chitra Padarpan Puraskar for Best Music Album 'Kanherichi Phule'(2014) and nomination for Best Music Arranger in 'Sagarika Zee Music Awards' (2014). Born to Dattatraya Chavan and Malan Galitkar, Tejas had his break in 'Kanherichi Phule' released by Universal Music on 4 December 2013. Tejas is married to Preeti Nair. He has a younger brother Rajas.


Early life

Tejas was born on 10 December 1988 in Vita, Sangli, Maharashtra, India to Mr. Dattatraya Chavan and Malan Galitkar. Tejas studied in S.R.G.R English Medium School, Vita. Tejas shifted to Pune while he was in standard 11th and studied in S.P.College, Pune, Maharashtra to enhance and pursue his musical interest. Tejas took his first musical lesson from Mr. Dhananjay Dixit. A mechanical engineer by education, Tejas is married to Preeti Nair, an I.T. Engineer by profession.

Professional work

Tejas has his break in his album 'Kanherichi Phule' by composing Marathi Breathless sung by Bela Shende and Dr. Amol Kolhe. He is currently working on new projects.


Apart from being a creative Music Director, Tejas is the best teacher for Mechanical Engineering, in his locality in Pune. He owns a Recording Studio in PCMC Rezonance Studio which is equipped with best quality equipments and is known for having spacious live and control room. It was inaugurated on 22 June 2014 by the hands of Avadhoot Wadkar, who is nephew of Suresh Wadhkar
