Tectocoris lineola

Tectocoris lineola, the Jewel Bug or Harlequin Bug, is a species of shield-backed bugs belonging to the family Scutelleridae.

Description

Tectocoris lineola can reach a length of about 13 millimetres (0.51 in). Body is dull reddish ochraceous, with a finely punctate upper surface. The anterior area of pronotum and basal area of scutellum show metallic greenish reflections.

Distribution

This species is present in New Guinea and Australia.
