Technological University of the Philippines-Taguig (Filipino: Teknolohikal na Unibersidad ng Pilipinas-Kampus ng Taguig ) was established in 1977 as one of the three prototype technician institutes in the Philippines. On January 3, 1985, the BOR passed and adopted Resolution No. 100 s. 1985 changing the name of the Manila Technician Institute to TUP Taguig campus. This satellite campus is located at Km. 14 East Service Road, South Super Highway, Taguig, Metro Manila. At present, TUP Taguig offers programs in pre-baccalaureate, baccalaureate, and masters level.

Taguig Campus

TUP-Taguig is located near industrial companies in Metro Manila at KM. 14 East service road, Western Bicutan, Taguig City. Its campus facilities include nine major buildings located in a site of 8.5 hectare area.

  • Basic Arts and Sciences Department Building or simply BASD, which has Chemistry and Physics laboratories and the Technical Drawing rooms, it also has the classrooms for the common first year lecture subjects and the laboratory room for the Computer-Aided-Design subject.
  • The Technology Building which houses the classrooms and workshop/laboratory areas for Automotive, Civil, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Instrumentation and Control, Non-Destructive Testing, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Tool Engineering Technology, Chemical Technology and Computer Technology.
  • The Italian Grant Building has classrooms and laboratory/workshop area for the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technologies and their degree courses.
  • The Administrative Building houses the offices of the Campus Director, Academic Affairs, Finance and Management, Student Services Division, Research and Extension, Commission on Audit, Supply and ROTC. The building also accommodates the Medical and Dental Clinic, the Architectural Technology classrooms, the Accreditation/ETEAAP room, the Internet area and the Intel-sponsored room.
  • The Regional Center for Technical Education and Staff Development (RCTESD) building houses on one wing, the RCTESD staff offices, the Audio-Visual room, Conference room and Syndicate rooms. The other wing has the Learning Resource Center or the Library and the offices of the Supreme Student Council, the student publication - The Philippine Artisan, and other accredited student organizations.
  • Two Dormitory Buildings have a maximum capacity of 64 occupants per building.
  • The Multi-purpose Hall serves as the venue for activities involving big group gatherings like the annual Acquaintance Party, Foundation Day, Wednesday Mass and other academic and social gatherings. The TUP-Taguig Campus Cooperative Canteen is also in this Building.
  • The classroom for PSI-CEP students occupies the PSI Technologies-sponsored Building. Due to its modern furnishings, the room is often used as a venue for higher management conferences and seminars.
  • The Building with the Conference Hall services seminars, lectures, meetings and other gatherings requiring a closed air-conditioned venue. The building is also used for the Academic Council assembly and the meetings of the faculty and staff organizations as well as student organizations.
