Types

There are two types of taxicabs in Macau, easily recognizable by their color patterns. They are:

  • Black Cab, probably the oldest in Macau and judged by some to be the most comfortable.
  • Yellow Cab, known for drivers who drive faster than their counterparts in the black cabs.
  • Availability

Taxicabs are easily found near the airport, the Hong Kong-Macau ferry terminal, and major gambling venues and hotels in the city though it is rather hard to get one during rush hour on the streets. Radio taxis are available, and there are two hotlines for the black and yellow cabs respectively.
