Tavastia Proper (Finnish: Kanta-Häme; Swedish: Egentliga Tavastland) is a region (maakunta / landskap) of Finland. It borders to the regions Southwest Finland, Pirkanmaa, Päijänne Tavastia, and Uusimaa.
