Tarō Ishida (石田 太郎, Ishida Tarō, March 16, 1944 – September 21, 2013) was a Japanese actor and voice actor from the city of Kyoto.

Education

Ishida attended the Foreign Language Department (Spanish) of Sophia University, but quit without graduating.

Career

Ishida was a chief priest at the Jōdo Shinshū Buddhist temple Jōkei-ji at Kanazawa, Ishikawa. He was affiliated with Granpapa Production and his former stage name was Gentarō Ishida (石田 弦太郎, Ishida Gentarō).

Death

Ishida died on September 21, 2013 from myocardial infarction.
