Sightseeings

Tarnaszentmária is the village in Hungary where one of the oldest churches can be found. It was founded by the Genera Aba, who were in family relations with the Árpád house kings. Samuel Aba of Hungary was the housband of the sister of Stephen I of Hungary. This Aba Genera founded the Tarnaszentmária church.

The old church has a central nave and eastern apsis, however, the eastern apsis has two floors. In the lower floor a tomb was found in the 19th century.
