Taran (Kazakh: Таран ауданы) is a district of Kostanay Region in northern Kazakhstan. The administrative center of the district is the selo of Taran. Population: 27,691 (2013 estimate); 29,355 (2009 Census results); 39,206 (1999 Census results).
