Taofik Adegbite is a Nigerian entrepreneur and a known business leader in Africa. He is the Chief Executive Officer of Marine Platforms Limited. And the first Nigerian that delivered an Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel for oil and gas sector in Nigeria which is named African Inspiration by the Norwegian government through the first ever shipbuilding contract between a Nigerian company and a Norwegian shipyard.

Education
Taofik holds a B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science from the University of Ibadan. He later attended the London School of Economics for a certificate course in Strategy & Organization Management as well as Harvard Business School OPM 44. And he is also holds Cisco certification in IT. Taofik is recognised as one of Africa's inspirational and influential leaders.
Career
Taofik started his career with Agricultural Project Monitoring & Evaluation Unit, ( World Bank Project). And also worked on contract with Britain's National Health Service (Hammersmith Hospital) as an IT Engineer.
Public Engagement
Taofik is a major contributor to global discourse on Local Content And he is also a notable voice in the Nigerian oil and gas sector where his perspectives are taken as inputs in moving the sector forward. Taofik equally engages his time in public speaking where he addresses issues on critical economic areas, entrepreneurship; and inspires budding entrepreneurs across Africa and beyond Through his numerous public lectures and mentoring on entrepreneurship and self-development, Taofik has provoked thoughts on the action terms -"Paradox of Ignorance and Weakness of Knowledge" - that he developed to enable people challenge several normative tendencies. He recently made remarks on the body of the terms on the sidelines of the Africa Shapers summit held in November 2015, in Lagos Nigeria.
