Tanjay City Science High School (TCSHS) is a secondary public high school system located in Opao, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, Philippines. It is a DepEd-recognized science high school. It is located near two of Tanjay's premier public schools: Tanjay City South Central School (then known as Opao Elementary School) and Tanjay National High School (the then Tanjay Municipal High School). It is considered as one of the most popular public schools in Tanjay City, performing better in several division-level academic contests compared with other private-owned and public high schools. The city's private-owned high schools are Diaz College (then East Negros Institute), Immaculate Heart Academy, Casa Marie Learning Institute, and Villaflores College (then Tanjay Institute).

Its first set of graduates composed of 13 students only. Following that year, TCSHS moved from Ilaud to Opao where its present campus is now located. Through the years, the school has produced numbers of excellent students and graduates performing well in their college, and some graduated with Latin awards.

One of TCSHS assets is its high-profile teachers like Mrs. Milagros Suyo, Mrs. Marilou Gemira, and Mr. Alex Parane who later became school principals after teaching several years in the school. Mrs. Kim Salazar (scholar and graduate of music, composer, and singer)who now teaches music in New Mexico, USA, has also taught in the institution. Mr. Edouardo Cortez, also a former teacher in the school, now works in UAE.

A great change happened to the school in early 2011 when the division of Tanjay announced its new principal in the person of Mr. Adonis Torres, a resident before of Brgy 2, now moved to Brgy 1, Tanjay City, replacing Mrs. Elsie SeƱeris, principal of the school since 2003.
