Takamori (高森町, Takamori-machi) is a town located in Shimoina District in far southern Nagano Prefecture, in the Chūbu region of Japan. As of 1 October 2016, the town had an estimated population of 12,864 and a population density of 284 persons per km². Its total area was 45.36 square kilometres (17.51 sq mi).

Geography
Takamori is located in mountainous south of Nagano Prefecture.

History
The area of present-day Takamori was part of ancient Shinano Province. The modern town was established on July 1, 1956 by the merger of the villages of Ichida and Yamabuki.

Takamori has one public elementary school and one public middle school operated by the town government. The town does not have a high school.
