Political career
He served as Chishtian Tehsil Nazim.
He is brother of Tariq Bashir Cheema.
He ran for the seat of the National Assembly on a ticket of Pakistan Muslim League (Q) from NA-190 (Bahawalnagar) in Pakistani general election, 2008 but was unsuccessful.
He was elected as the member of the National Assembly on a ticket of Pakistan Muslim League (N) from NA-190 (Bahawalnagar) in Pakistani general election, 2013.
