Tōno Station has a single side platform and an island platform, connected to the station building by an overhead crossing. The station has a Green Window staffed ticket counter.
History
Tōno Station opened on 18 April 1914 as a station on the Iwate Light Railway, which was nationalized in 1936, becoming the Kamaishi Line. The station was absorbed into the JR East network upon the privatization of the Japanese National Railways (JNR) on 1 April 1987.
