Syeda Razia Faiz was a Bangladeshi politician who served it the national assembly of Pakistan and was the first elected woman member of Parliament in Bangladesh.

Biography
Syeda Razia Faiz was born on 18 April 1936. Her father was Syed Badrudduja the former mayor of Kolkata. She was elected to Pakistan National Assembly circa 1960s. During Bangladesh Liberation War she was part of the Pakistani delegation to the United Nations. She was placed under house arrest in Bangladesh after its independence. She was elected from the former constituency of Abdus Sabur Khan in 1979 to Bangladesh National parliament. The first female elected member of parliament in Bangladesh. In 1989 she was the minister for Women and Social Welfare She was the vice president of Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
Personal life and death
She was married to Mohammad Abul Faiz, the former Chairman of Petrobangla. They had a daughter, Fawzia Alam, two sons, Osman Ershad Faiz and Aman Ashraf Faiz and 5 grandchildren, Tazrian, Marzian, Farshed, Faizana and Aiza. She died on 15 November 2013.
