Traction
Earlier Dual traction WCAM 1 or WCAM 2/2P locos would haul the train between Mumbai Central & Vadodara after which a Vadodara based WAP 4 would take over until Ambala Cantonment following which WDM 3A twins from Ludhiana shed would take over until Jammu Tawi.
Since Western Railways completed DC Electric Conversion to AC on 5 February 2012, it was regularly hauled by a Vadodara based WAP 4 until Ambala Cantonment following which WDM 3A twins from Ludhiana shed took over until Jammu Tawi.
Post electrification of Jalandhar - Jammu section, this train is now hauled end to end by a Vadodara based WAP4E or WAP 5 from Bandra Terminus to Jammu Tawi.
