Suyetsky District (Russian: Суетский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the northwest of the krai. The area of the district is 1,108 square kilometers (428 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Verkh-Suyetka. Population: 5,120 (2010 Census); 6,760 (2002 Census). The population of Verkh-Suyetka accounts for 43.4% of the district's total population.

History

The district was established on May 27, 1924. It was abolished in 1963 and re-established in 1989.
