Formerly a flight attendant with Thai Airways, she was appointed commander of Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn's household guard in August 2014. Several reports, following the Crown Prince's divorce of Srirasmi Suwadee, have linked her romantically to the Crown Prince, that she lives in Munich. In October 2016, international media reports label her as the designated king's "consort", despite the Palace never officially declaring their relationship. Her name is consistent with naming customs for the wives of Thai princes.

On 1 December 2016 she was appointed Commander of the Special Operations Unit of the King's Guard and promoted to the rank of General, becoming the first woman to reach four-star rank in the Thai armed forces other than a member of the royal family. She also reached the rank in abnormally rapid time, after six years of service (in contrast, it took current Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-ocha 34 years to reach four-star rank).
