She has written several articles on Arab and Arab American women and feminism, as well as a collection of short fiction, The Inheritance of Exile, which won several awards. Her latest book of short stories, A Curious Land: Stories from Home, has won the Grace Paley Prize for Short Fiction and was shortlisted for the 2016 Palestine Book Award.
