Sundress

A sundress is a dress intended to be worn in warm weather. Typically, it is an informal or casual dress in a lightweight fabric, most commonly cotton, and usually loose fitting. The dress is intended to be worn without a layering top. Lilly Pulitzer popularized the sundress in the 1960s.

Current styles

The sundress provides a feminine look that is more comfortable than a skirt and blouse or another sort of dress. Sundresses can be of any neckline and hemline, including modest styles and a variety of patterns. Sundresses are made in a variety of closure types, including back zippers, side zippers, front buttons, back buttons, back ties and pullover style.
