The company, founded by Chef Justine Kelly and Adam Zbar in 2014, provides gluten-free, paleolithic diet, or vegetarian meal kit options. The startup delivers to certain parts of the US. Tyler Florence, a celebrity chef, is one its board of members. Justine Kelly, former sous chef to Charles Phan who participated on Iron Chef America, developed the recipes.
Kelly sources the ingredients from Northern California farms.
Sun Basket is the second food delivery service to be USDA - Certified Organic following quickly after Green Chef established the standard for the industry. Impressively enough, they also offer a Paleo, Vegetarian or Gluten-free option in their recipes.
