Biography

  • He married, as his first wife, in 1767, H.H. Tengku Puneh of Selangor, daughter of the first sultan of Selangor: Sultan Sallehuddin, born as Raja Lumu, before divorcing two years later.
  • The subsequent wives were :

  • 2) Y.M. Wan Mek.
  • 3) ca. 1772, Y.M. Wan Kamaliah, Tuan Mas, daughter of the Lord Admiral (Raja Laksamana) of Kedah. Three sons and six daughters, including his successor, Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin Halim Shah II.
  • 4) Y.M. Che’ Puan Paduka Bonda, a princess from Patani. Three sons and one daughter.
  • 5) Y.M. Che Fatima Dewi, Che Mas (d. before 1845). One son.
  • 6) Y.M. Che’ Chandra Sari. Two sons and two daughters.
  • 7) Y.M. Che’ Bida Sari. Two daughters.
  • Siamese sovereignty

    Sultan Abdullah Mukarram Shah accepted the Siamese sovereignty and dispatched the first tribute payment, “Bunga Mas” in 1781.
