Born in Brčko, SR Bosnia and Herzegovina, back then still within Yugoslavia, Krpić played with youth team of HNK Orašje where he became noteced for being the topscorer in the team and for scoring in the Bosnian youth Cup final against NK Bosna Visoko which Orašje won by 4–1. He joined GNK Dinamo Zagreb youth team in 2008. A year later, in April 2009, when he was already 18, he signed a 10-year contract with Dinamo. He stayed with the Croatian giants two years in all, playing in their youth and reserves team. In 2010 he moved to Austria joining LASK Linz and playing in their juniors team competing in the 2010–11 Austrian Regional League Central, better known as Regionalliga, Austrian third level.

In summer 2011 he returns to Bosnia, and after a half-season with Orašje, he signs a one-year contract with FK Sarajevo during winter-break, and debutes in the second half of the 2011–12 Premier League of Bosnia and Herzegovina. A year later he left Sarajevo and moved to neighbouring Serbia where he played in second level, Serbian First League, with FK Metalac Gornji Milanovac.

At the end of the 2012–13 season, he left Metalac, and returned to Bosnia where he joined historic side FK Sloboda Tuzla, then playing in second level but clearly aiming to return to top level. Sloboda had brought coach Miroslav Blažević whose first signings were Edin Husić and Sulejman Krpić. They archived promotion that year by winning the 2013–14 First League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stayed with Sloboda the following seasons, also being member of the historical season 2015–16, just two years after their promotion, when they finished second in league and were cup finalists. Although, at the start of that season, Krpić left Sloboda Tuzla and signed a 3-year contract with Croatian top-flight side NK Istra 1961, however, he left Istra shortly afterwords, without even debuting for them in any competition, and during the following winter-break he rejoined Sloboda Tuzla.

On 3 March 2017, it was announced that Krpić had signed a three-year contract with the Swedish first-tier side AIK, upon recommendation from the club's assistant manager Nebojša Novaković.
